What percentage of your business is with a small number of clients?  If the thought of losing one of them makes you nervous, it is time to consider spreading your risk...by building your pipeline.

How to get rolling

Getting started NOW may result in meetings in mid/late March.  Delay your effort and you are looking at April meetings.

 

  • Make a list of clients and contacts that you know or can be referred to

    • Current, former clients

    • Co-workers

    • Partners

  • Plan how you want to approach each one

  • Starting NOW, block time off in your calendar each week to reach out

  • Consistency every week is key...you will build momentum!

 

You can do it!

If it has been a while since you have worked on building your pipeline, remember three things:

 

  • The hardest part is getting started

  •  You are better at this than you may be giving yourself credit for

  •  Networking to find new business is a “team sport” – connecting with others for ideas will provide inspiration and energy to generate success!
